Set 01 BOX
Every creature has two types. Its attacks each use one type. Defending, both of its types count, and the effects multiply.
Rows attack, columns defend. Tap a row name to look that type up.
Each side brings three creatures. Knock out all three of your opponent's to win.
Both sides pick an action: one of three moves, or a switch. Switching always happens first, before any attack, whatever the Speed. Between two attacks, the faster creature acts first, and ties are a coin flip. A switch uses your turn: the creature coming in takes the opponent's attack and doesn't act until next round.
Power minus 75% of the target's Defense, never less than 20% of Power. The move's power % scales it. Hits land at the move's accuracy, and 10% of hits are critical (×1.5).
Every creature has two types and one attack for each. A strong matchup does ×1.8, and it stacks: hitting both types does ×3.24. A resisted hit does ÷1.8. Each move shows its multiplier against the current foe.
Buffs and debuffs stack up to three times. They last while the creature stays in, or for the turns the card says. Switching out clears them, but damage stays.
Burn does 6% of max HP a round. Poison and Curse do 8%. Freeze cuts Speed by 20%. Bind stops switching. Blind cuts accuracy by 20. Shock gives a 50% chance to lose your turn. These are placeholders until the rulebook defines them.
